Carrowdore 100 Show – 2025

Carrowdore 100 Classic and Vintage Motorcycle Show – Thank You

The Injured Riders Welfare Fund (IRWF) were privileged to be invited to the Carrowdore 100 Show on Saturday 20th September 2025.

The show was organised by a long term supporter of the IRWF David Carleton and members of the church committee, it attracted a huge crowd who enjoyed the various displays and also watched or took part in, commemorative parade laps of the Carrowdore 100 circuit.

The IRWF took the opportunity to sell various fundraising items on the day, also selling raffle tickets for the fabulous Yellow Helmet Canvas which was kindly donated by Jeji Images.

The raffle draw was made live on Facebook, with the winner being Karen Patterson. A huge thanks to everyone who supported us, not only on the day, but throughout the 2025 season.

We were delighted to receive two substantial donations from the Sheridan Family and were humbled by their generosity. Support like this is the lifeblood of our work within the sport.

We at the IRWF acknowledge all the support we receive, every pound raised goes towards supporting any rider and their families who have the misfortune to be injured whilst competing on the island of Ireland and beyond.

We have paid out over £15,000 in 2025 to date, your continued support is vital to the IRWF.

If you would like to learn more of how you can assist the fund, please get in contact with any member of the team.

Thanks again to David Carlton and the team for organising a fantastic event, we appreciated the invite to what was an emotional day for the IRWF team, but once again it was great to see the support from the motorcycling family.

Annual Easter Sunday ‘Ride out for Rory’

4th October 2025 Leave a Comment

For 2025, the organisers of the Annual Easter Sunday ‘Ride out for Rory’ very kindly nominated the Injured Riders Welfare Fund (IRWF) as one of the beneficiaries in memory of the very much missed Alan Connor.

We were honoured to have Stuart Connor, Alan’s brother, accept a cheque for an amazing 1,420 euros on our behalf.

Huge thanks to Greg Johnson and Kenneth Lenehan, and to all involved.

IRWF so appreciates your support.

We send our love to Bernie and the girls, and to all of Alan’s family and friends.

We treasure the many fond memories we have of him.
